Nancy Stark is the visionary founder of Nancy Dianne Studio of Dance, Ltd., established in 1972 with a mission to provide high quality, family oriented dance education that nurtures both the technical skills and personal growth of every student. With a belief that dance should be accessible, joyful, and rooted in community, Nancy created a welcoming environment where dancers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to grow in confidence, artistry, and character.
Before founding the studio, Nancy enjoyed a successful professional career as a founding member of the Milwaukee Ballet Company and performed in the Vienna Operetta Carnival at Milwaukee’s Performing Arts Center (now the Marcus Performing Arts Center). Her extensive training includes work with renowned instructors such as the late Professor Jury Gotschalks, Professor Myron Nadel, William Reilly, and Lupe Serrano of American Ballet Theatre. She also studied at prestigious institutions including the Stone-Camyron Ballet School, the Gus Giordano Jazz Center in Evanston, the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, and the Wisconsin College Conservatory.
Nancy is a lifetime member of both Dance Masters of Wisconsin (DMW) and the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters (CNADM), organizations committed to raising the standard of dance education across the country. She has also contributed her talents to the wider community, choreographing for numerous local productions including Finian’s Rainbow at Menomonee Falls North, various band revues, and the Menomonee Falls Junior Miss Programs.
In recognition of her decades-long dedication to the performing arts and youth development, Nancy was inducted into the Menomonee Falls High School Performing Arts Hall of Fame in June 2009. Selected by an independent committee of educators and administrators, this honor celebrates her lasting impact on the arts and her unwavering commitment to enriching her community.
Today, Nancy’s legacy lives on through every class, performance, and student at the studio she built. Her values, inclusivity, discipline, and joy remain the foundation of Nancy Dianne Studio of Dance. As both a leader and mentor, she continues to inspire generations of dancers and educators to pursue their passion with purpose and heart.
